According to the "Encyclopedia of African Airlines" by Ben R. Guttery (published in 1998), Air Gabon flew from 1951 to 1968 and another

airline of the same name was created after Gabon pulled out of Air Afrique in May, 1977.  This latest iteration of  Air Gabon

flew until March, 2006.   A new carrier formed by Royal Air Maroc group, Air Gabon International, started in the same month.
